I am a hard-working realtor with 30 successful years of experience under my belt and am proud to say that I think I'm the most well-rounded (not just my midsection) Realtors that exist. No, I don't have a big ego, I have confidence in my abilities.
All Realtors are not the same. They do not have the same work ethic, they do not all have the same amount of experience, knowledge from experience nor the know-how to deal with problems that arise from a seemingly easy transaction. They do not all know the financing alternatives or the neighborhoods that they sell homes in. Some think they know the closing process, but are surprised to see they know very little about the closing paper trail. YES, the bar has been lowered over the years. That is good for me when I am competing with most other Realtors, but bad for you if you happen to be working with one of those Realtors that have lowered the bar.
